Just a question ... will .htaccess and .htpasswd work with Abyss Web Server, I cannot seem to get them to work.

No! maybe in a future release they will add a plugin , who know's
why do u even need htaccess , the anti-leech is just as effective as
the php scripts , firewalls still won't allow you to download from a
protected file that has the anti-leech in the htaccess feature |

i am building a signup/login page in PHP with email and redirect that stores user data in MySQL, but i need a way to lock the dir and retrieve login info from the DB.

Oh I see , I find that most people that want htaccess
is for the anti-leech feature , well I tried that htaccess
and the PHP scripts print out the same results , so um
you can find a script for a login or something at
hotscripts.com 8) |
