I understand how to set up the webpage and everything. When I click on "Browse Website" it sends me to http://127.0.0.1/. I need to know how to change this so I can add my domain I own. Another problem, I connect to the internet through a router. The IP is 67.166.172.48 but my ip is 192.168.0.4, can I forward the ports the server uses to my IP adress? Any help or more information you think might be useful is greatly appreciated :). |

This "browse website" is OK to browse the site locally. In fact, 127.0.0.1 is your local IP (valid only from your computer).
To access Abyss from other locations (your LAN or from the outside), you must use the LAN or external IP of your computer. No configuration is required on Abyss to do it. All will work automatically.
So from other computers on your LAN, browse http://192.168.0.4 to see your web site. And people from outside should use http://67.166.172.48 (of course, your router must be configured o forward incoming connections on port 80 to 192.168.04 on port 80) _________________ Support Team

Ok I think it is up, could some one try the IP http://67.166.172.48 and give it a try.
Another thing I'd like to know is how to point a domain to my ip. Heres a picture of what it looks like. What do I need to enter so it doesn't give me an error?

In the first screenshot above, you would use their nameservers. Not yours.
That would allow the domain to point to your IP address if it's dynamic.
Who are you getting your domain from??? |

I purchased it through www.avahost.com
But I can manage the domain through
access.enom.com
I want the domain to point to my ap IP Adress http://67.166.172.48 I would like to know how to point it to my IP Adress, what to change in either one of those pictures. |

Having to rely on memory because your pics are down.
In the first pic, use avahost's nameservers.
In the second pic, put your IP in the first three boxes and
select A(address). Save settings.
Browse to your site with domain name and see if changes worked.
Changes are usually immediate with most registers. If not, it may
take up to 24 hours. |
