|
|
I'm running X1 1.1.6 on XP Pro.
I have a USB cam on the server box which shows up in Explorer (My Computer) as Intel PC Camera Pro. I double click that and an Explorer window opens up displaying the cam image and few fetures (like "Take a Picture"). That's all resident in XP. I did not install any bundled Intel software or drivers.
I can drag and drop Intel PC Camera Pro from Explorer into a browser window (IE, Mozilla, etc.) and the image and features display just as in the Explorer window and Intel PC Camera Pro is what's in the address field and title bar up top.
To save my life, I can't figure out how to write a line in my index.html file to create a clickable link to the cam so I view it remotely from browers in other systems.
I'm thinking it might be something like
<A href="file://localhost/Intel PC Camera Pro">CAM</A>
or
<A href="http://Intel PC Camera Pro">CAM</A>
but I just can't hit on the Right Thing.
My eyes have gone crossed looking in my books and searching the Web. Anyone here have a hint for me? Thanks! _________________ Your Jedi mind tricks won't work on me, Skywalker. |

dallas7,
We don't know excatly how this camera feature works on your computer but we doubt it can be run as you want by default.
We'd rather suggest to use a free Web Cam server and to plug it with Abyss.
Please send us an email to support@aprelium.com and we'll reply with the intructions on how to do it. _________________ Support Team
