|
|
I bought the FrontPage server extensions today, and I was wondering how to install them with Abyss, or can I install them with Abyss? Im sure theres a way just like the PHP extensions, but I dont know what the extensions used are. Like .html, .php, etc. Could someone help me on this issue?
Thanks for your time and consideration!

Nope. Not supported, they're a Microsoft product for Microsoft servers, although they're also supported by Apache with some extra gubbins... |

Anonymoose,
FP extensions are supported on Apache using a closed-source add-in written by Microsoft and available only on some UNIX versions of Apache.

More official links here:

And probably the best you'll find on using frontpage extentions with linux...
http://www.joshie.com/projects/apache-frontpage/
There's nothing really special about server extentions...other than some gooffy bells and whistles..
If you're worried about UPLOADING your web...either install a FTP server as FP will upload via FTP or connect to a webfolder... _________________ ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
