Today while reading some user reviews on Abyss Web Server, we found a new one freshly written on download.com .
The person who wrote it states that Abyss is a Trojan and that it infected his/her computer. Please read the full review of Qball in http://download.com.com/3302-2165_4-10162107.html?pn=1&fb=0 .
We can understand that some people hate Abyss and see it as a serious competitor for their (crappy) software. But if they want to supersede it, it is better for them to open their IDE and start coding some good and stable stuff instead of wasting their time writing a 14 line review full of lies while hoping to make Abyss less popular.
By the way, do not think we're paranoid. We traced some negative reviews in the past and found that they were originating from our so-called "competitors". And many shareware/freeware authors confess this is a widely spread practice.
If you want to support Abyss and let people know what you think about it, please submit your review in http://download.com.com/3305-2165-10162107.html (or prss the "Rate it" button in the cited review page).

First of all , I don't know why someone would say such a thing to you guy's , your software is awesome and I will always support it. You people at aprelium should be proud of your success and tell every one that does not like this software to go build their own because I love thise Web Server and it has never let me down , I host 3 websites right now on it and everything runs smooth. I wish I could e-mail Qball and tell what a loser he/she really is. Aprelium will always be #1 software makers for the free and Paid web servers. :D 8) :D
But you should fix that Bug with the EXE thing that way
people can just type a / for a cgi path without having the
EXE files be executed. People can complain about that so
it really needs to be fixed if possible. |

As promised, version 1.2 Beta 2 will have a more flexible CGI configuration. It will be released very soon.
You won't even have to enter / in the CGI Paths with the new configuration!

| Get enough spam already without signing up for download.com, but if someone would be kind enough to point out to QBall that Abyss doesn't include any SMTP (email) capabilities so any reports of spam mail came either from a badly configured relay on his machine or him installing an insecure script e.g formmail.pl - doesn't sound like he could manage that - or getting trojanned from warez/irc. What an a$$hole 8O |

first of all, most ISP wont even let you run Web servers without pulling the strings on your ToS, as you have to dish out 50 extra bucks to do so(some dont even warn you about the incoming fee)

Well, i hate to break it to ya, but its been proven in PCStats that Zone Alarm has a backdoor which was intended for Zone alarm Owners, but CAN be hacked by any remote hacker with intermediate hacking skills[/quote]

| Abyss could not be a trojan, otherwise my SpyBot scanner would have detected that. And look at all the Positive reviews Abyss has gotten! This QBall is obviously a liar. And as for Zone Alarm, when I tried that friggin' firealarm, it "went crazy" every d*** single time when I either opened my browser, or even my Word documents. How in the world can Abyss spam?? It ain't a mail server, for pete's sake! |
