|
|
im having problems accessing my site, i can access it locally using the http://localhost, that is easy enough, but for other people to be able to also access my site i used no-ip.com, this worked great while i had aol [<devil of isps], but now with Verizon DSL its not working, posibilities: i am connected wirelessly to a router that connects to the dsl, however i have the No-IP DUC [dynamic update client] that automatically adjusts for these possibilities, maybe the No-IP service is havin some problems, so i guess i have a couple questions:
1.) how do u find what ip address to go to, to access your site keep in mind the router and dsl, i have no idea.
2.) does anyone know if my ip is a proxy, it doesnt seem to be, it only changes when i restart my computer
3.) how do i fix this?!?
if i can find the answer to #1 the rest dont matter, cause i can just use that ip in my .tk prefs. Please someone help! my site is goin to be bitchin once i get it up, complete with phpBB forum, almost fully automated pages, chat boards/rooms, its sweet, i just need to let other people get to it! |

First of all, check if your ISP is blocking the web port (80). _________________ Support Team

yes i have tried this, as best i can, i went into router configurations [which are on another computer by the way] and set the HTTP Virtual Server to operate on port 80 and i set the Privite IP to 192.168.0.100, the local ip of my computer on the network |

If your ISP blocks port 80, configuring the router to use that port for the virtual HTTP server won't solve your problem. Try setting the port for HTTP virtual hosting to 8000 or 8080 and try to access your server using http://routerip:8000 or http://routerip:8080 (routerip is your router's external IP). _________________ Support Team

Since you indicate you have another PC on that LAN, can you enter that Abyss LAN IP and see if it can access your webpage(s)? If it can not, your abyss or internal netowkr may have problem. But if it can, check again if your public IP is the same as before? If it not the same, you may have "Dynamic IP" which will change over time or get cycle to a different IP. If it is "Static IP" that perminent assign to you by your ISP, but you still can not access eventhough you forward all request to the Abyss LAN IP and it port, then I try using a different port instead of default port 80.
When change to different port like 8000 or 8080 are whatever port you decided, make sure both the Abyss and the router assign to the same port. _________________ CapFusion,... |
