I have looked through the forum for similar issue as mine but have come up empty handed so far. If there is a thread that exists please point the way otherwise could someone help me sort this out?
I installed Abyss web server to C:\Abyss Web Server
My network has the following spec...
I have a motorolla cable modem (charter pipeline) a Sorenson VRS router then my pc on lan 3 of the router (lan 1 has a sign language tv on it lan 2 or 4 has a laptop on it)
I went to Port Forward and followed their instructions to set up a static ip addy and configure it with my specific router. Now I am back here again still suffering from Error 403 Forbiden when I try to access the ip of My computer given to me by running ip config in comand prompt 192.168.0.100
This is the info in my abyss webserver window Abyss Web Server X1 (v 2.5)

-- Default host on port 80 is up and running (Local URL http://127.0.0.1)
Console local URL: http://127.0.0.1:9999
Hope that is all the info needed.
Where am I screwing up??? |

There can be a few reasons for a "403 Forbidden" error.
Having the directory listing disabled is the most common.
Are you trying to view a webpage or a directory listing? |

If you're trying to access the server console from a remote computer, that isn't going to work. Because the server it self is made for the administration on the computer. Only the administrator of that computer where it is running from can only access the server console from it. Now if its a directory your trying to access from the server, then you have go to the console to reconfigure that. Unless the server was originally configured like that. Now if your still having problems accessing the directory from the server, I'll post screen shots on how to fix that problem. _________________ Site Administrator of Nucca The Warrior's Website
