Index.html not showing... other .html file is

when I type in the URL for my site, www.mysite.com, it doesn't give me the index.html file, but some other .html file. I tried moving that other file into a sub folder of htdocs, BUT, when typing in my URL, it still tries to load that other html file, though now it can't find it.

What is going wrong? why won't it get the index file like it should?

Try clearing the cache. On IE, hold down Ctrl and hit enter... That should force a refresh with a cleared cache for that page... On Mozilla which should be the same as Netscape go into prefrences and clear the cache... Make sure if you're using tabbed browsing its not on any tab... Clear the cache and restart Mozilla.

Also make sure Abyss knows for a fact that index.html is indeed an index file. Good luck :)
