arbat,
Linux setup instructions are almost the same regardless of the distribution you use.
So we suggest that you start by installing Abyss Web Server in a non-root account (not as root). Run it the first time using that account privileges to have it create its default configuration and set up parameters correctly.
Next, to make it start automatically at boot time and use ports < 1024, follow the instructions in http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=58498#58498 .
