For some reason whenever I have the little stop light MySQL icon in the sys tray, my webserver goes... offline.
I have no idea why it does this, but I just right click the icon, click "show me", then click the X to close the window. Then I restart abyss, and by restart I mean right clicking the sys tray icon and clicking exit and then going start -> Programs -> Abyss Server -> run (or something like that).
I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but it's very annoying. Also, sometimes, Abyss would just plain stop working. A simple right click -> exit then turn it on again will fix that. I wonder what's causing the problem though. |

I had a really annoying problem once I couldn't explain... I reformatted my PC 3 times before I was convinced I had a hardware problem... Up until I noticed a file kept popping up called "program"... It has no extension and sits on the root drive... C:\ or D:\ or X:\ etc... It was 0 bytes in size...
That little file caused hell as no programs would want to run and everything that would run would run crooked... Anyway my point is when I found that little no extension "program" file and deleted it my entire system was like brand new...
I couldn't believe it but maybe your problem is similar in nature... Maybe its something you don't even think has anything to do with it... Maybe... I hope you solve it and let us know if you find out what the problem was :)
Also upon a search one time I managed to find the same "program" file in various directories... Perhaps searching for it or searching for files 0 bytes in size might help... I hope this works, let us know :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

Have upgraded to the latest version of Abyss Web Server? Are you sure that MySQL is not using the one of the ports Abyss waits for connections on (80 and 9999 by default)? Have you checked another program that can collide with both and does all that?
Actually, Abyss Web Server has nothing to do with MySQL (or with any other program running on your computer) so there is no real reason why they should bother each other. _________________ Support Team
