I missed an important information: in the precedent post I'm referring to Abyss X1 2.4!

the Linux Kernel version is 2.6.17.13 (huge.s) and GLibc 2.3.6.
But I have just tryed with the new kernel 2.6.21.1 (huge.s) and the same GLibc 2.3.6 and abyssws starts with absolutly no problem. ...

I'd like to add an information...
I found an old version of Abyss X1 (1.2.3.0) that run very fine in slackware, without any problem! Thanks
