Hi,
My server has a Intel Celeron D 330 2.6GHZ, i have got s 12CM fan blowing air into the case and i have a cpu fan on the cpu heatsink. My processor runs at 45*c Idol (and i know thats good for a celeron D) but my case is at 40*c. I have asked some people over msn (AbyssUnderground) and they said that the case is way to hot. I was wondering if it is as i have been searching the net and i cant find anything on case temps only cpu.
Any suggestions/advice are welcome.
Thanks in Advance

Something I forgot to ask on MSN was what direction is the case fan blowing? Is it blowing air in or blowing air out of the case? If you can, put a fan at the bottom of the case blowing in, and one at the top blowing out. This should help cool the case considerably.
If you can't do that, have the single fan blow air out. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

I have a 12cm fan blowing air in over the hdd's at the bottom, and have space for another 12cm fan near the cpu. _________________ My online Portfolio |

OK, have the front fan blow air in, and the rear fan blow air out. That should help. Also make sure the server is not enclosed in a tight space. It should have a good foot or so of space each side of it, especially the back. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

If your server CPU is reasonably located somewhere not easily accessible to pets, pests, younger people and other possible/potential causes of danger, you may want to leave the case open entirely - as I do. That's partly because of the temperature dynamics in my country. Of course, you have to be pretty sure in setting this up before you go ahead and decide to do this. _________________
