I have a "server" on a small LAN at our office. Five computers/users share data that I have stored on our "server" which is just a Win XP Pro machine that we call the "server".
Is it OK to run Abyss on the "server?" Are there any risks associated with running Abyss on that computer?
We are running a small site with Abyss that is basically for our customers accessing Flash .swf files.
One other thing is that the computer Abyss is running on is a P4 w/HT 2.99 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, 2 150 GB Raid 1 with a ADSL connection of 5000 down/500 up. what is the maximum number of connections this computer would be able to serve with the flash files? Each flash file is less than 100KB.
Thanks for any comments.

No problem on installing it on the "server". Its a low memory application and will most likely have no impact on its other duties.
You can probably serve with a reasonable speed, 5 people at exactly the same time. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)
