|
|
Well, I have had very little problem installing and getting everything working fine; I can even remotely access the Abyss Web Server Console, and I can look at the server info, like stats etc, but when I click on any buttons, like to reset server stats or "cancel" etc then I get the old "The page cannot be displayed" default "cannot find server page" in explorer. I can use the hyperlinks, I can use the browser "Back" button, but I cannot use the on screen buttons or edit any settings thru the console. It all works fine when I am on the actual computer where the server is but I can't seem to adjust setting remotely. I am sure it is a simple fix, but it appears I can't grasp it LOL. I would appreciate any suggestions - thanks. |

JackFriday,
Please install another browser (Firefox or Opera) and retry accessing the console with it. Does it work? _________________ Support Team

H, thanks for the reply; yes it worked fine with Firefox and when I watched what it did it seems that when I clicked on the same buttons in firefox, the "passing information security screen came up" so I perhaps have an improper security setting in Internet Explorer set and I will try some changes. I appreciate this program, I have been using it to teach myself how to establish and manage a website, I have been having fun except for getting perl cgi's to run properly, but I will search your forums and do a little more trial and error before I come crying for help. Thanks again. TTFN |

Just an update, I have reset IE completely and still no luck, I just thought you would like to know, Firefox works fine so it really doesn't matter but it is an interesting problem. |

IE security system can be a real problem. So we suggest that you check again its settings (in IE > Tools > Internet options). _________________ Support Team
