ok
just to let you know before hand, im using a router
im using zone edit.com, and i was woundering if any of you use it, cause i need some help. I have a domain name, and it needs an ip that when you type in the domain name, it would go to the IP i typed in. I tryed doing one IP and it didn't work, i dont know which one to use.
is there a website that will tell me the ip to use?
do i use my abyss ip?
do i use my router ip?
or do i use my computers ip?

You need to use your WAN IP address (in other words your Internet IP address). Which will be your router's IP address.
Your router should then forward any incoming requests on Abyss' port (default 80) to your computer's IP address where Abyss is running. _________________ Olly |

ok, i used my router ip adderss and i got my router setup, should i add the :(insert port) thing onto the end? |

If you're running on the standard port (80) you do not need to do this. You're most likely seeing the effect of a router not supporting loopback.
To test if you're servers working you can try an external proxy site, such as https://proxify.com _________________ Olly |

im running off port 1991, because my ISP blocked port 80,
now what? |

then you need to add the port number at the end. for example IP:PORT (eg: 192.168.123.100:1991), or DOMAIN:PORT (eg: olly86.co.uk:1991). _________________ Olly |
