When I have Abyss X1 running and the little icon is in the tray, is it says thats the server is halted. Is this a bad thing? If so how do I change it? Oh and I have it set to a service so does having the icon in the tray halt it? |

This usually means that Abyss Web Server is already running in the background.
Close Abyss from the tray. Can you access your website http://localhost ? |

Morprok,
That was the problem. Abyss can't run as a service AND be in the tray at the same time.
They will conflict with each other. |

I have found that this sometimes happens when installing Abyss Web Server for the first time.
Have you restarted Windows since you installed Abyss? (Assuming you are using Windows)
Just a thought,
