Greetings. I am quite new, and green to web server configuration. I downloaded and installed Abyss Web Server and am trying it out for the first time. I don't know how (or where) to configure a real host name (i.e., www.mydomain.com ) vs having to advise people of an IP address eact time (i.e., http://123.123.123.123). I imagine this is quite simple and am trying to understand the host configuration through textual explanation. (sample examples here or actual screen capture images in the help file would help significantly but are lacking.). So, can someone help me how I can configure Abyss X1 so that when I ask people to look at my website, they can type in: www.mydomain.com instead of remembering http://123.222.111.000. I appreciate the help. Once I get a little bit more up to par, I may look into using X2 so that I can take advantage of virtual hosts. BTW, the domain I am trying to use is one of the subdomain 'freebies' offered via dyndns.org. (i.e, mysubdomain.homeip.net or mysubdomain.dyndns.biz).
