Hi there,
I've been trying to install Abyss web server, but the program doesn't even open the console in my browser.
The little server window opens up, then it flashes 'Halted' in the title bar and the globe on my icon tray goes red. That's it!!!
It's the latest version that I've downloaded and I'm running Windows XP Home.
Can anyone help????
Many thanks

Halted means Abyss is unable to listen on one or more of the ports. In the main window, it should tell you what it failed to listen on.

Cannot listen to the console port |

This might be caused by another server already running on port 80 (the Microsoft web server (sorry can't remember name)). _________________ Olly |

Boaz,
It seems that you're running two instances of Abyss Web Server, the first as a Windows service (runs in the background at system startup) and the second in your user session.
So chances are that Abyss Web Server is already running on your system in the background as a service. Try browsing directly your console using http://127.0.0.1:9999 (use your actual console port if you've changed it).
When running in service mode, there is no Abyss icon in the system tray. _________________ Support Team
