Ummm My iis went belly up today...

I just installed this program and Its a little confusing for my pea brain.

This is my goal:

To direct my traffic using Luckyregister.com to my domain name, then forwarding to my IP address wich grabs my main .Html File that is my website.

Thats what I used to do anyway.

Can anyone tell me how I can get that Html file up again on some address?

I have to host it all on my computer here or else.

Thanks
A-Bomb

Assuming you had everything set up so IIS ran on your PC on port 80, and was accessible properly by others from the internet, all you need to do is install Abyss and point the document root at where ever you stored your website for IIS.

http://www.aprelium.com/data/doc/2/abyssws-win-doc-html/hosts-configuration.html#HOSTS-GENERAL

All your other details - domain name, IP etc, have nothing to do with Abyss, so if they worked before, they will still work now.

Note that if you use any server side scripting languages (PHP/Perl/ASP etc) on your website, you will need to install support for them as well - details for each language can be found here :

'Had' was the key word there buddy.

God It's all soo complex with abyss 4 me.

I'd use IIS again if i could figure out what I did to it to make my (Default) website icon to dissapear. I can no longer click on that Icon to tell IIS what my ip address is and my opening page.

It should be that simple: Thats only two things I had to tell it to do to run my website.

1. IP
2. Default homepage

Now I feel like its 100 things-
I liked the Link you gave me but- I'm much better with example pics than gobs of retoric (retoric to me anyways even if after i do read) with blank boxes that are just like how the program shows before you put any data in.
(screen shots anyone?)
My error message is becouse I havent put the nessisary CGI scripts in the box. I dont even know where the hell to get CGI scripts, let alone what they are...
SOooo My error message is Blah BLah Blah:

The error means that the CGI log file was not found or Abyss was unable to create it.
This happens when you change the Server Root and forget to create a log subdirectory in the new directory referenced by Server Root.
If you open the console, it will show you where is the error so that you can fix the wrong parameter.
