I need to completely reinstall my web site on a differnet computer. Obviously I need the home directories. Is there any way to save the alias and user group data?

Step 1: install abyss.
Step 2: copy web data.
Step 3: copy config files??? What and to where?
Step 4: Tweak.

As long as you keep the drive letters the same, simply copy the Abyss directory and your website just as it is on the old computer. It should work fine. If not you will need to change all of the alias paths.

Yes, this is possible. Install Abyss Web Server on the new computer and stop the server immediatly after. It is preferred to install it in the same directory path as the other Abyss Web Server in the old computer.

Now, copy the htdocs/ (or the web site directory) from the old computer to the new one. Remove abyss.conf from the new computer. Copy also abyss.conf from the old to the new.

That's all you need.
