|
|
I have a belkin wired 4 port router, connected to a speedstream DSL modem, I can access my site when I go to //localhost but when I try to access my external ip address it takes me to the router config page. I know that I need to make the router forward requests to the computer with the site on it, but i cant find where to set that on my router. Does anyone know where to find it, or by what other name it would be called on the modem config page? Thanks
Edited to say My external ip is http://69.239.221.91/
and the computer with the site on it has an internal ip of 192.168.2.16 |

Hello, deadtoaster2. Welcome to the forums. :D
The term your looking for on Belkin routers is called "Virtual Servers".
Go to http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm and find the make and model of your router.
Then, just follow the instructions for port forwarding.
EDITED - I just went to your IP posted above and I see the Abyss default page.
I guess you got it running. Good job. ;) |

If you see the default Abyss Web Server page, force your browser to get the page from the server and not from its cache. This can be done by pressing CTRL+F5 or CTR+SHIFT+R (depending on the browser). _________________ Support Team
