Hello, Yes wierd title I agree,
Basicly I am trying to stop what most of you are trying to start. Loop back. I want to be able to go to my domain and see my site without haveing to go through a proxy site.
but everytime i do I get the broadband router menu.
ANNOYING!
And no i cant use localhost or my ip as the links on the site are full links Ie. www.*.*... etc no just home.html main.html etc.
and no I can't change the links bec of my menu structure. _________________ M.Carpenter

Actually that is what most of us want to do.
What kind of Router do you have? Depending on the brand and model it may be impossible to do w/o going through a proxy. Another thing to look into is if "Remote Administration" is turned on.
I have a Belkin router and the remote admin goes over port 80, so when it is turned on I cannot get to my web site. |

max_carpenter,
There is a simple solution: Open your system hosts file (it should be in C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc ) with Notepad and add the line:
Save the file.
Now locally from your computer, you will be able to browse http://www.mysite.com (and the links won't be broken). _________________ Support Team
