I noticed that 2 process are initiated upon pregram startup. does anyone have any idea if this would cause a listening error. I was thinking perhaps that 1 of these processes is starating up erroneously grabbing the port and therefore blocking the "active" process form accessing it?

Any ideas?

yomig,

This is how Abyss Web Server works. It runs 2 processes, one is serving the files and the other monitors the first (and does some other things). The 2 processes are required to support the anti-crash feature.

yomig, download and run CurrPorts to see what is using that port.
