HI.

I have had my site fully functioning on a host 2nd computer and even using 'http://' links from other sites to access files.
BUT NOW
I have a problem.

Some files seem to be inaccessible from the WAN side but work from the LAN .

For example

Using another computer connected to the same network as server host:

If I try and access my site using the WAN address eg. http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx I get a Modem Log In dialogue appear (Normal I know, because it tries to access the modem settings)
YET
If I add a directory which exists in htdocs like http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/content I get a 501/505 error in IE instead of the Modem Log-In dialogue (which would be a directory listing)

Another strange thing is

eg.
http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/content/music/song1.mp3 - This will bring up The Modem Log in Dialogue (Working)

http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/content/music/anothersong.mp3 - This will return a 501/505 error

yet i can use http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/content/audio/song1.mp3 to bring up the Modem Log-In dialogue (working) EVEN THOUGH htdocs/content/audio doesn't even exist! ???

Why are some files working and others not? I have had this working fine but this is stumping me.

I have searched many forums and cant seem to find a similar problem.

If I access it like this
http://<Local_IP>/content it gives me a directory listing and I can access all
files.

I have fowarded ports 80 TCP to the <Local_IP> of server host.
I now have a static IP.
The server host computer is even in the DMZ in the modem settings (used for game server)
I have an NB1300+ adsl/router. (but like I said I have had it working fine)

I have my virus definition up to date and adaware SE checks regularly (haha this prob got nada to do with this)

Thank you very much in advance for any help offered. I am a zombie after all this reading ( I dont know about you - lol)

Cheers.

Thats because the page your viewing is actually your router. You notice
this behavior because your router does not support loop back. LateR!

Yea cheers man.

I actually had a free banner for DOT TK happenin.

A mate in town here said there were some pop ups blocked when he viewed the page. So i'd say the banner was in flash.

So ive disabled the banner.

I'm going to put a link in my links section instead.

Ok thanks for the help. Plz let me kno if ya check it and it's gone.

Cheers!!
