Ok im frustrated. How the heck do i get php to work on a freshly reformatted win98 comp? I set it up and had it working before but not since i reformatted the computer. It comes up with the error missing ODBC.dll. Okay fixed it, got ODBC.dll problem solved. NOPE! Now it does not pop up with an error, it just doesnt work.

Can you please tell us what isn't working? How does it behave now? Is there an error? Is there no output? More details can help us help you.

there is just no output. there is now just the usual page cannot be displayed error. But on the server there is no popup that says could not find ODBC.DLL

The error is self explanatory. You have configured PHP so that it needs ODBC.DLL and you don't seem to have such a DLL. To solve this issue, you should install MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components). The latest release as of Feb 6, 2004 is 2.8 and is available from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c&DisplayLang=en . You can also download it from http://msdn.microsoft.com/data .
