Hi, I recently installed AWS v.1.2.3.0 on my local PC so I could host some pictures which are referenced from a webpage on another server. I am behind a firewall with only port 80 open inbound, the referencing webpage is on a public server somewhere else.

I opened abyssWS.log to see how much activity has been occuring and it appears that every single webpage I've visited since installing AWS is being logged. An edited snippet of my log looks like:

127.0.0.1 - - [12/Jan/2005:22:02:12 -0800] "GET /us.yimg.com/a/1-/jscodes/072002/fs_pb_fitted_072002b.js HTTP/1.1" 404 83 "http://us.f125.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?YY=80591&order=up&sort=date&pos=0&view=&Idx=12" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)"

127.0.0.1 - - [12/Jan/2005:22:17:48 -0800] "GET /us.yimg.com/a/co/consumer_info/cc_25x25_yahoo_0604z20.gif HTTP/1.1" 404 223 "http://us.f531.mail.yahoo.com/ym/login?.rand=5edvtt8q9nga7" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)"

I left the Yahoo lines in for example but it is logging every page I visit. I doubt it matters but I did initially move abyssWS.log to a different directory than the default.

Any help on how to stop this would be appreciated. Also, is there any way to have a new log start each day with a relevant name?

Thanks in advance!

Go to Server Parameters and erase the path to the log file , this will disable
logging for your website , please read the Abyss documentation for more.

Edit: Did you want to disable logging or remove those requests ?

hurt,

It seems that you have an ad-blicker that is redirecting all the ad requests to localhost (127.0.0.1) that's why you've got so many strange requests in your log.

Thanks! Turns out to be my Webroot Spysweeper which has a Common Ad Sites shield that added a ton of 127.0.0.1 entries to my hosts file.
