I got Abyss Web Server running on my new linux but I have a weird problem
that I cannot fix , I can't set the port to 80 neither will it let me connect to
my site using my WAN IP or my domain , how do I fix this , im root. :(

Aprelium provided a lot of info for other linux newbies (and not so newbies!) there. It is also worth checking that Apache isn't already running on port 80.

What distro did you go for in the end?

I fixed it , I had to change the port to 80 from the abyss.conf , just to make
sure , can you guy's see my server at http://www.trustabyss.com Thank You!

If you have remote root access enabled and an SSH server (remote command line access) running, I can have a look at it for you and see what I can do. You will need to forward port 22 on your router to your PC to allow SSH to be accessed.

It's pretty hard to try and explain your way around the command line if the person you're explaining it to isn't familiar with Linux...
