thanks guys, I have discovered the problem. My IT department somehow, I'm not sure and the helpline (yeah right) isn't sure won't let me view it here at work. I assume the same is true for the same friends I have checking it out at their work.
I have used an anonymous proxy webserver and it seems to working. Really sucks though.
now I just have to make sure that the cgi comments on another portion of the site works. Anyone who wants to give it a try feel free
