when i was trying to add Topics from the admin page in PhpNuke i got a error from the server that said this:

Error 200 means that the script was excuted with no problems and it doesnt know what to do next. I wouldnt use phpnuke because it doesnt support SMTP auth, i know cause its a problem i encountered.

what is SMTP auth, what does it do? what kind of problems does this cause?

If you enable SMTP authentication on the server than means that they have to "auth" before they can send email. Without it you will get spammed to hell....It only cause problems in the applications (err scripts w/e) that dont support it, because then you cant email your members.
