|
|
Hi.,
I just started hosting a website from my PC with Abyss. BUT, other people cannot view the page!...
I put the URL as: http://IP:80 and without the 80 and people still cant view it, I stopped and restarted the server and still. But when I go to http://IP it works fine.. and I know its because I'm on the local machine so I can't tell wether the site is online or not..
Can anyone please help me out here?
Thanks,
Jrock
Any info is greatly appreciated.
I have Windows XP SP2. and it has a built in firewall, can it also be that?? |

Why dont you post the address ;). Anyways it could be the devil is blocking your website.....-cough- relatisticly It could be the firewall, Do you have a NAT device (aka a router) hooked up? Are you giving them a 192.168.1.xxx address if so that ip wont work seeing as it is your internal ip. Please post more info..... _________________

Well,
I give them the IP that Abyss gives me (Find my IP feature).
I unblocked the Abyss from the firewall, I will post if it works.
OK, it works!! |

Your ISP could be the issue. |
