Through an FTP Server or you can find a Upload script on
hotscripts.com , the best way is through an FTP server. |

Depends on your application, if your wanting an interface for people to upload pictures and other stuff, in other words a site thats going to have 100's of visits a day, you will be better off using a script, if on the other hand your site has a few members that work together ,an FTP server with individual logins would be better.
handing out an anon login to an ftp server that could be accessed by anyone and abused by anyone is not advised because of the security risk it poses if that folder is or forms part of a viewable folder from your browser, peopl could easily upload virus programs and people could download them if you dont have any kind of upload control.
IMHO your asking for problems if you use FTP in such a general term, TRUSTpunks suggestion of hotscripts.com is spot on, get a script as you can then add a restriction to the types of files that can be uploaded. |
