abyss not working on the net

hey i need some help this is my first web server and i am not sure on how 2 use it,

i want 2 be able 2 put a password on a page so people cant get on a page i set it up and it only works on //localhost i upload the files 2 the net (i upload the files in C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\htdocs witch i have some files in there i dont want people 2 access ) but i upload them and u can just access the site with out a password needed

if you already know how to password protect places
with Abyss Web Server , setup a pattern for the files
you don't want the General Public to see. Look Below!

Go to Access Controle
and setup a path like

/*.zip

or

/*protected_file.zip

Note: You can use any file extensions , the first
example will password protect all zip files and the
second will password protect only one file.

From what I can make out of the lack of grammar:
You want to place files in the \htdocs folder, and only localhost can access them?

Upload all files you want to be served by Abyss into the \htdocs directory.

if u are hosting friends then it might pay for you to setup ur own ftp server and give them access so they can upload files to your computer which will be handy
