I have no clue what I am doing. I'm trying to get MySQL working to I can install ZPanel so I can make subdomains and run a forum. I went to mysql.com and downloaded mysql 4 and installed it. Then I downloaded the phpmyadmin & ZPanel files and put them in my htdocs folder. I started following the tutorial to install ZPanwl that was posted in the tutorials forum. I skipped the php.ini step because I couldn't find the file in the PHP folder and when to the phpmyadmin install and it said:

#2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) |
What the crap does that mean? I installed it on the same computer that Abyss is on!
Please help me! I know jack squat about MySQL or anything to do with it. I just want ZPANEL so I can setup some subdomains and get my forum running! |

Uninstall MySQL , Delete phpMyAdmin folder
reboot your PC , Delete mysql folder , Delete
my.ini located in C:\Windows , Install MySql

I'm running Windows 2000 Pro, and don't have a Windows folder. I looked in the WINNT folder and didn't see a my.ini, is this ok or should there be one? |

Perhaps you could try explaining for others what the problem was instead of wasting time boasting about helping everyone in private? |

Its the same problem like always , you screw up phpMyAdmin
because you messed something up and you have to fix it.
The same problem everyone gets ! |

Hey man, thanks again for getting that working for me. Now I just hope I NEVER have to reinstall Windows on that computer again because I'll never get this working again. Now I can finally enjoy the full potential of my server. :) |
