hi, how can i delete a database permanently from the phpmyadmin page? i was in the database page of phpmyadmin and i checked the name of the database i wanted to delete and click thee delete database button. after that when i click on the drop down menu on the left side of the phomyadmin page, i still see the name of the database there...the only thing i didnt see are the tables, which i believe had been deleted. is there a way to delete the name of the database too?

When you check a database, and hit delete, it deletes the entire database. Refresh the page, clear your cache, and revisit the page to see if it's gone.

That is correct, they are default. If it still doesn't work to delete a whole database, then shutdown MySQL, and delete the database folder in the mysql\data directory.
