Over the last few days I have tried using Abyss as an alternative to Apache Webserver. Unfortunately I've discovered that Abyss X1 will not remain stable long enough for me to get php and MySQL running together. Everytime I try to run the phpmyadmin script I get a 500 or 404 error. I tried the preconfiged PHP5 from aaprelium. I've also tried two different versions of MySQL. For system information please check my phpinfo script as eveything is listed in there. It normally runs okay bt seems to have problems every now and then as well.

Thanks for any assistance.

Try increasing the CGI Execution Timeout in Scripting Parameters > CGI Parameters

I'm having a similar problem... i'm trying to install mambo, and it does not detects mysql on the install process. otherwise if i already have the DB up and running it goes smoothly as it there was nothing wrong... :|

Does anyone have a clue on what could be the problem?

bzidroglio,

The problem is with your PHP/MySQL configuration. Without giving us detailed error messages from PHP, we cannot help.
