if you are that uneducated you should not be running your own webserver
the index.htm is the first page you will see when you go to your website _________________ How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb? |

Well now come on, he has to learn somehow.
Heres a little more explination: Index.html is a manditory page. It is the "index" or front page of your website. If someone went to yourdomain.com, the first page they would see is "index.html." Therfore, yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com/index.html are basically the same thing.
If you are just beginning with webpages, however, I suggest trying Geocities or Angelfire first. Hosting your own website can get complicated at times (not to mention the security risks if you don't know what you're doing). _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Well if you change your mind, I may be able to host your site, just for the heck of it. Just to see what it's like i guess. http://msmollison.no-ip.org:3333 |
