I have a php counter script that i created myself, how can i show it on the html page. I have used the form command, but it places the information on its own php page which is fine , but i wish to display the counter on the html page not the php page and i have used javascript to call the php script file but it does not display it in the html page. How can i do this?

i have a perl script that is similar and it works with the javascript by calling the perl file and displays it in the html page. Just curious how to get it working for php.

goose,

You can use the magical SSI include directive. But if you want an accurate help, tell us what counter script are you using (and the URL where we can find it).

aprelium,

i have my counter script working under ssi ala .shtml works great. very simple though :wink:

i have another question can the php script be called from anywhere? meaning no need for accurate path names? 8O

as all i have done is the following for ssi to work when displaying the php script:

<!--#exec cgi = "hits.php" -->

and also renaming the html page to .shtml to make it work!

srm.conf???? YOu have to add html to the Console > Server Config> Adavnced > SSI Parameters > Associated Extensions.
