Hi!
I host some peoples web sites on this server!
But i was wondering if there was any hp or other script kind of online lke thing so my hosting members can log ina nd edit there files on any pc on the net?

p.s. it would be even better if they could acess my mysql database

Or basically some sort of system that allows web hosting (free) on my abyess server so members can register to have there sites hosted on the net and can acess there files on there as well as FTP on my FTP server!

I wouldn't count on hosting yet untill you can get
some type of bandwidth controle . hosting like that
will leave you with almost no internet connectivity.

I am not extremely high tech... I do this on an individual basis manually, which would be good if you can't limit bandwidth.
I make a new directory in my htdocs folder for the user, and register a domain on no-ip.org like username.no-ip.org which points to my htdocs/theirfolder.
Then, get an ftp server like WAR FTP and give them complete access except execute to htdocs/theirfolder.
Works great for me... i have msm33.hopto.org and host johnholden.no-ip.org for example. Email me for more info. |

Check www.hotscripts.com for something that can do it. Or, read up on some PHP tutorials.
