I cannot access my server at all! All I get is the "this page cannot be displayed" message that we have all seen 1000 times before :(
Please help me. |

Please, do you get a HTTP500 error or do you get a "Web site not reachable error" ?

"this page cannot be displayed" Is what it says in the webspace area, but the title bar at the top says "HTTP 500 ERROR"
So, lol, maybe both :P

Error 500 happens when try to execute a script which cannot run correctly. The other error occurs when you cannot access your web site physically.

| But I havn't even touched my scripts. I JUST installed the server, and havn't modified any files. I followed the getting starting directions untill it said to go to the console. this error also apears then I try to access the console. |

Are you trying to browse the console using http://127.0.0.1:9999 ? If so, check that your browser settings do not use a proxy for the address 127.0.0.1 . Check also that any filter or antihacking software isn't stopping access to 127.0.0.1 .

| if you are using windows xp.. not sure if it works for all other OS but I just got my server working after changing my IE's proxy setting. Go to Internet Options on your browser and click on connections tab.. and then LAN settings and then remove checkbox on "Automatically Detect Settings" |
