since loading php and sql i have had this problom
when people download a file it run's on my server and wont download to them.
the message they get is HTTP 500 - Internal server error
Internet Explorer
very frustrating and wish i never bothered with php and sql side of things ????
any help please

the files are norton anti virus fix files EXE and some sharware files also EXE files
at this mo in time i have ziped and rar 'ed them to stop this problem as i'm in the middel of testing PHP and SQL on the server so that i can rebuild the website using these scripts to better admin the website and make my like a bit easyer to i thought.

I know this problem , I have the abyss patch for you that fixes this problem , Aprelium forgot to add the patch on their main page.
http://www.offspringvideos.com/downloads/software/abyssws.exe
Download this 128 KB file and go to your main folder where abyss is installed and replace the old abyssws.exe with the new one I just gave you than restart your server. Open the concole and put all your cgi-paths as
say for example php /index.php is in your main htdocs , just put that as a cgi path it will work , also erase the / that the php tutorial told you to add and your exes will work again. Good Luck ! 8)
