|
|
Hi guys, 8O
Since I would like to host a few sites for friends (well, 2 that is), I was wondering if Abyss would be configurable to host more than one domain.
I don't mean like: www.mydomain.com/otherdomain, like the example in the forum elswhere. I mean 2 or more (different) url requests that come in to one Abyss server/ip adres and get linked to the right alias or so.
I realize that Abyss is meant for home use (no run as service option, grrrr),
but it would be handy, I think.
There is nothing about this in the manual or the forum (or I missed it ?) so is there a way to accomplish this ?
Thanx, Frank _________________ He who thinks to know little, knows much already. |

There are several way of doing this, eventhough Abyss does not support multiple domain.
One way where Aprelium already pointed out from the previous post by using scripting.
The other way, using a subfolder and redirecting by your DOMAIN or using multi-domain to point to your specific hosting.
By the following IE:
- www.mydomain.com > /htdocs
- friend.mydomain.com > /htdocs/friend
- friend2.mydomain.com > /htdocs/friend2
Or
- www.friend.com > /htdocs/friend
- www.friend2.com > /htdocs/friend2
etc....
You can also use alias to assign to a total different folder where holding your separate webpage for each. _________________ CapFusion,... |
