linux abyssws just stopped

first post
have checked to see if anything on topic elsewhere

have used abyssws free version for my duel booting box (XP and knoppix)

recently updated knoppix and had to reinstall abyssws

took a while to realise needed to use the -r switch to get abyssws up and running.

set up a bootup script in /etc/rc5.d to start abyssws as ./abyssws -r -d

worked all well on bootup

then after 8 hours nothing, server had just stopped

any ideas?

the only thing which i have done differently is that the htdocs is on another hard disk

You are using an unreliable way to start the server on Linux (by using the root privileged directly); It is even unsecure.
