|
|
When I want to access a directory or file that is hidden behind my directories of my domain, and I don't add a final "/" at the end then it still works, but instead the server ip is displayed instead of the domain name itself.
e.g freebeoloons.org/free turns into
http://127.03.740.12:8000/free/
Is this a domain-setup dependent problem? Would be nice to know |

I believe it would be in the way that their server handles the masking of your domain.
You will find many quirks and oddities by not using port 80. One of my friends and I have worked through many issues with a port 80 block. What a headache!
BTW, welcome to the forums, greolian! _________________ Stephen

You're getting the redirection because your domain name is configured at a domain name redirection service which purpose is to do exactly that (i.e. redirect your domain name to your actual IP). This is called "cloaking".
If you want to have a genuine domain name association with your IP, you'll have to configure the DNS A record of your domain to be associated with your IP. _________________ Support Team
