Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with the website that I've setup using Abyss (btw: phenomenal software, love it). When I'm trying to download a LARGE file from that server from a remote location, the download speed gets slower and then eventually just stops, before the file has completed downloading.
Does anyone have this problem? I don't know where to begin troubleshooting it....
my setup is Windows XP and a cable modem through a D-Link 704P Router/Firewall. I know I have the server / firewall at least rudimentally configured correctly since I can see the server from the outside world.
Is there a timeout somewhere buried in the settings that I'm not aware of? Or is the problem likely to be elsewhere (ISP = roadrunner, firewall? who knows.)
thanks. |

Abyss Web Server will serve at the fastest possible network speed. So it is not an issue with the server.
You should suspect your ISP or your router/firewall , although we tend to think that this issue is related to your ISP or to the ISP to which you're connected when downloading that large file. _________________ Support Team
