I solved it be deleting Abyss and reinstalling. Hope Aprelium looks at it.

Google has no answer except mentioning a 'DNS cache'. I expect DNS is Domain Name Server.

Might this DNS be in the router or on the server or the OS? (Vista)

I have done everything I should to flush my cache inlcl. brute force as stated in the FAQ but the old file still comes up. I have tried different browsers and a remote access via Citrix.

On Damn Small Linux the Abyss server says it's running, but it can only be accessed by 127.0.0.1:1024 not the default port 80.

I have tried configuring the router to port 1024 and still no luck.

I got the 'listening error' and through the pasted link a suggestion of another program using port 80.

Used the advice and closed Skype and this allowed the server to run :-)

No, it simply blocks all IP Addresses except the local ones to the console. Simple! :-)

Good idea; I missed that in PHP-Nuke: instead I renamed the config file to cheat hackers ;-)
