I don't have a router either, but all the modems I have ever used have a gateway for configuration and the like. Just something you may want to look into as it might help.

Here's what I suggest doing;
Open up a new browser window and goto 192.168.1.1 or whatever your default gateway is, and open up the port 1024 for example. Once this is done, edit your Abyss server to ...
