Hello, am having a problem that came up recently on a web server the Abyss web server that came up after many monhts of running it successfully.
Environment: Apple OSX 10.5.8, Power PC X 2 @ 2.3GHZ, 4GB RAM
Running: Abyss X1 under the Applications directory.
Sudenly this problem came up. Some issue with writing the process ID file to the default log location. It points to the Abyss.conf line and column where the XML data shows the location of where the PID file should be (log/abyssws.pid).
I've changed the file and directory permissions to read/write for everyone. Still this problem persists.
Has anyone had this issue and if so how to get around it?
Thanks,
Manuel |

That sounds like an ancient system with an old copy of Abyss Web Server.
Anyway, please send your abyss.conf file for review to our support team by email at support@aprelium.com . Mentioning that discussion by URL would help us keep track of the issue. _________________ Follow @abyssws on Twitter

It's possible the disk where the log directory resides might be full. Use df -h in the Terminal to check available space. If it's low, free up space or move the log directory to a location with more space. |
