|
|
Hi,
I tried posting this a few days ago but think I may have made an error during submitting it... :(
I want to bring up a custom error page for an unauthorized login attempt ( a 401 error) but can't get it quite right. My custom error pages work for 403 and 404 errors, but when I set one up for 401 errors and someone tries to visit the protected pages, they are shown the error page immediately and not asked to log in anymore. Removing the 401 custom error setting in the console reinstates the log in request.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
Thanks! :) |

fearworksmedia,
Does your 401 custom error page contain a login section ?

Hi there,
No there is no log in page - it is a protected area of a site, set by creating a user and setting up access control to it. So the user's browser prompts with a standard username and password window.
Without setting any custom error pages, I know I get directed to a 401 Aprelium error page if I get the log in details incorrect a few times, or if I just click "cancel", so I wanted to make this page a custom error page instead...
Should I be setting the error page differently for that?
Thanks! |

fearworksmedia,
Could you please send your abyss.conf to the technical support team ?

I sent my abyss.conf file two weeks ago, in response to the above request.
Can you give me any more information regarding a custom 401 error page?
Thanks. |
