I have an idea for a new site... any suggestions for sources of good quality free templates?
Looking for something neat and tidy and kina boutique-y (online ordering, girly stuff)
Thanks |

aww jeez... seems like every topic turns into this kind of a battle...
Karasu Kami, you are really too much... but I can't help but be curious about what you really can do.
I'm just looking for an easy to maintain set up, so I can easily change the images of items as they sell. Neutral colors, but not black background because it makes it harder to see the image detail I think, maybe gray or something like the background here at the forum...
I will probably have four or five categories of products with 6 to 12 examples of each within the product category. Something like a page of thumbnails with links to larger images. I use shopping cart software from Mals eCommerce for online ordering. Im looking mainly for flexibility so I can add and remove items quickly and easily.
I only have experience with basic HTML (as you can see on my other site www.croshaydesign.com) but I feel the overall look is kinda clumsy. I have installed pHp but havent run any scripts. Im a quick learner, though and just need a little direction to get it started.
Any ideas are welcome... just keep the language clean, okay? |

well thanks anyways... but you don't seem like the kind of person I would like to work with on something like this, KK, and Im pretty sure I dont want to put the welfare of my business in your hands, you don't seem at all professional.
I'll look around hotscripts some more. |

My business has been doing great with just my basic html frames layout ... and I'm sure I can use my rudimentary editing skills to modify one of these templates I found to suit me just fine.
Looks aren't everything... and no matter how slick your presentation is, you can't fake credibility when you have complete lack of content. |

Now KK, why would his business "suck" if he used a free template???
IMO, the only difference between the two (besides $$, of course) is the lack
of tech support for the free ones and some TOS's.
I've seen alot of free templates that look much better than some paid ones.
Especially, with the ones from http://www.comteche.com
So, why the insults??? Because he chose NOT to do business with you??? |
