I've read the Abyss installation instructions for Perl, but, as is often the case, there's an assumption by the writer that we know what he is talking about.
"To allow execution of CGI scripts located anywhere in your web site, add the / (slash) path to the CGI Paths."
Um... ok... so I add a slash... where? In the Abyss configuration? In the CGI path in the script? Where?
Note here to anyone who creates great product like Abyss... PUT EXAMPLES IN YOUR TUTORIAL. Don't assume we know, and even if we do, we'll just skip over it. Newbies like me will think "woo, cool... I can see EXACTLY what I have to do".
So... to the question... can anyone explain what/where the path is?

Hi ChesterTheBear--
Take a look at this screenshot from the abyss help files:
http://www.aprelium.com/data/abyssws-x1-win-doc-html/cgi_win.png
Where it shows "CGI Paths" you would want to add a new line with a simple "/" (no quotes). This allows executables to run on your entire website, if that is what you wish.
Regards,

ChesterTheBear,
In the CGI Paths table, there is button called "Add". Press this button to add something to the CGI Paths. _________________ Support Team

thanks.
yes. saw the "add" button, and had already done that.
perhaps this is a demonstration of just how good abyss is... perhaps my expectation was that the slash was to be added in the "path to perl" in each perl script, or in some .ini file, or some other place. putting it right there, in cgi paths seemed far too obvious.
yes... in hindsight, this was a very dumb question, and let me stress, that perhaps it really does demonstrate just how good abyss actually is that even dumb ctb managed to get it up, running and performing in minutes. however, a simple sentence referring that instruction to that control panel might have saved us all some effort.
